Now, only invoices linked to the projects you are associated with will be displayed and available for reservation.

You can now adjust the flex balance even during an ongoing period or when times are locked. This simplifies the process of making flex adjustments.

New settings for the project card

It is now even easier to manage which entries can be made on the project. Previously, there were options to configure certain time registration settings for projects, but we are now expanding these. In the new version of the system, it will be possible to set the ability to register:

  • Driver's log

These choices determine whether the registration options are visible in the project's time reporting view. By default, the new options, Article and Addition, will be selected to ensure everything continues to function as before. However, you now have the complete ability to deselect these options for each project as needed.

News, February 2025

A frosty February update

Spring still seems to be delayed a bit, but new features are emerging in the system nonetheless. In this update, you can read about the latest developments in the system and how to participate in beta testing the new API:

News for Time Reporting

In February, you will have access to the latest updates in the system. This time, we have made several design and user experience changes in time reporting.

  • New design for project information: The information displayed when you hover over a project in time reporting now has a new, clearer design.
  • Default company for customer and user: It is now possible to set a default company for both users and projects.
  • Locking individual entry: The dialog now closes automatically when you lock an individual entry in the weekly view.
  • New registration dialog: Earlier this year, we mentioned that a new design was in progress for the dialog that opens when you make a registration in the weekly view. In the February version, this update is now implemented. This means it is no longer a pop-up that appears in the center of the view, but a dialog that adapts. This allows us to more clearly show which entry you are registering.

News for Follow up views

The development of the follow-up views is ongoing. This time, some adjustments have been made to the features.

  • Saved column sorting: The column sorting you select in the new follow-up views will now be saved. This allows you to return to your chosen settings even if you leave the view. This feature was requested by a customer.
  • New filter for internal projects in follow-up view: It is now possible to choose to display only internal projects in the follow-up. This makes it easier to track this type of project. You can find the option among other filter alternatives.

December news

We have reached December, and as an early Christmas gift, here is the final news update of the year. Discover more about the updates in the next version and the upcoming plans for the system:

Ongoing work on the new REST API

Something to Look Forward to

Many updates are on the horizon, but the most eagerly anticipated is the new invoicing module. Development is in full swing, and soon you will gain more insights into what lies ahead. Adjustment of postage rates starting January 1, 2025

For those of you who send print/mail with us through Autofaktura:

Starting January 1, 2025, we will adjust the prices for print/mail services through the Autofaktura function. The new rates are a direct result of the postage increase implemented by PostNord and our subcontractor on October 1. PostNord's price adjustment is 4 SEK for standard postage, which means we will also increase by 4 SEK.

Despite the price increase, it remains more advantageous to use our print service than to send via regular mail. In addition to being offered a lower postage rate, you avoid the costs of paper, envelopes, and the extra work involved in traditional mail handling.

Happy holidays!

The year is coming to an end, and we look back on it with joy. In addition to all the new features and improvements we've developed to make your workdays easier, we've also welcomed several new colleagues around the world. We are now planning for another exciting year and hope you are also looking forward to everything that 2025 has to offer.

Take care and make sure to enjoy some well-deserved time off!

News October 2024

Autumn news

Autumn has arrived, bringing with it a new version of the system. Here, you can read more about the latest updates and the new method for providing feedback:

New logic for the calendar in the time reporting view

To simplify switching between days/weeks in the time reporting view, we have revamped the logic. This means that when you are in week view for your registration and click on a day in a later/earlier week in the small calendar, the entire week will be displayed. This is instead of previously being taken to the day view for the selected day. This way, it becomes easier to switch between days/weeks in a consistent manner regardless of how you choose to switch.

Expanded display of profile pictures

In the previous release, it became possible to upload a profile picture from My Pages in the time reporting view. Now, it is also possible to upload and change pictures for employees via the administration.

Additionally, profile pictures have become visible in more places within the system, such as the Select Project list. The profile picture will appear in even more locations in the future, so take the opportunity to upload a profile picture now if you haven't already done so.

Searchable Dropdown Lists

Sometimes there are many options in the dropdown lists, which can make them long and difficult to navigate. Many have therefore wished for a search function in the lists to easily find the option they are looking for. Now that wish is coming true! In the October version, a search function has been added to all dropdown lists in the system.

New Opportunities for Feedback

The new project portal we have been working on is now in place. Here, you will be able to follow the development of our major projects and provide feedback on both upcoming and released features. Additionally, you can voice your opinions on which features you want or do not want us to proceed with.

The portal will be expanded with even more projects, but for now, there are a few available for you to familiarize yourself with - Go to the product portal (The link to the portal will soon be available from the menu in your system). In the portal, you can switch between what is in planning/development and what is already in the system through the tabs Time & Project and Released Time & Project.

Continued Enhancement of the Follow-up View

During the spring, you were introduced to the first phase of our new follow-up view: Time. Now, we're excited to unveil phase 2: Amount. This view features an enhanced interface with expanded content, effectively replacing the Overview view. The focus is on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to invoiced amounts, costs, and budgets, among others.

Enhanced Filtering in the Follow-up Views

This effort is ongoing and promises to bring enhanced filtering capabilities and more options, making it easier for you when you're generating reports.

If you're eager to get a sneak peek at our design direction, you can view a sketch below. Please keep in mind that changes may occur before the final version is ready. We'll provide more details about this project as the new view begins to take shape.

Changes for feedback in the system

For a while now, you've had the opportunity to share your feedback through a form linked under the help icon in our menu. However, this feature will temporarily be unavailable as we're in the process of integrating a new system designed to simplify the way you submit and track your feedback.

During the period the feedback form is inaccessible, we invite you to share your thoughts and requests through our support channel.

News June, 2024

Summer update

Although the weather hasn't been as summery as we hoped, we've officially entered vacation season. However, that doesn't mean progress comes to a halt. Come mid-June, we're ready for the next version update. In this news update, you'll find information on the latest additions to this version and a sneak peek into what's in store for the fall:

Project planing on group level

To accommodate various planning needs, we now introduce the ability to plan at group level. This feature allows you to select an entire group instead of individual members during the planning phase. This approach enables you to make plans without the need to specify the exact amount of time each person will contribute, allowing the group to flexibly manage their collective time allocation.

This feature is part of the optional Project and Resource Planning module, facilitating direct project planning within Time & Project. Should you wish to enhance your system with this planning module, please feel free to reach out to us.

Development of the Follow up View

In the spring, you were introduced to the initial segment of our new monitoring view: Time. Currently, we are advancing to phase 2: Amounts. This fall, this innovative view will take the place of the Overview. This view brings an enhanced interface and broadened content to the forefront. Our focus is on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) pertinent to invoiced amounts, costs, and budgets, among other financial metrics.

The Revamped Billing Module

Throughout the year, we've been fully committed to developing the new and enhanced billing module. Currently, our efforts are concentrated on integrating it with Time & Project. This means that testing is about to progress to the next phase, and by the fall, we'll be ready to showcase more of its workflow.

The new interface represents a significant upgrade from the current Millbill setup. With enhanced user-friendliness, fewer clicks, and streamlined processing, the task of billing will become more manageable and efficient.

If you're intrigued by the opportunity to be among the first to test our new billing module, you'll soon have the chance to express your interest. Stay tuned for an invitation following the holiday break!

Feedback Sparks Innovations in the Approval View

The enthusiasm for our new approval view has been overwhelming, and we're deeply grateful for all the feedback received. Your insights have already sparked numerous modifications to the view. Throughout the summer and into the autumn, we're excited to evolve even more aspects of it, keeping your feedback front and center. Among the enhancements we're planning to implement are:

  • Ease of unlocking weeks directly within the view
  • Improved sorting capabilities
  • Showcasing enhanced details for allowances and mileage logs

Exciting Updates on the Horizon

Even as you enjoy your time off, the wheels of progress continue to turn. This means there are plenty of exciting updates awaiting you after the summer. Highlighted next are some developments made in response to customer feedback:

  • Horizontal mode on mobile devices
  • Clearer markings in the time reporting view to highlight half-days among other features
  • A button to simplify logging return trips in the travel diary

More details on these exciting updates will be shared once we're all back at the office.

Wishing you a delightful summer!

Whether your vacation is just around the corner or still a few weeks away, we hope you seize the summer to its fullest and recharge to your batteries. Should you need assistance with the system, rest assured, our support team will be readily available as usual throughout June and July.

News, April 2024

The latest news for Millnet Time & Project

Spring is finally here. And we are working in full speed as usally. The latest version is just around the corner and we have som exiting information to share. In this update you can read about:

New support ticket management

Milient's support team has transitioned to a new ticket management system. In light of this change, we want to inform all customers about what this means for you when reaching out to us.

To ensure efficient handling of your inquiry, please use support@millnet.se when reach out to us via email. Previous emails got support@millnet.zendesk.com as sender, causing messages you send to us now, continueing old conversations, to end up in the wrong system.

We would like to inform you that from April 1st, it is crucial when contacting support via email, that you send your message to  support@millnet.se, and no other address.

Why are we changing systems?

The reason for switching to a new ticket management system is to streamline issue handling and improve communication between customers and support. The new system will include an integrated chat function directly in your Millnet system, enhancing the overall support experience. More details on the availability of the chat feature will be provided in upcoming news updates, with hopes of it being fully operational before the end of 2024.

Updates from customer feedback:

We develop our systems with our customers in mind. That's why we highly value the suggestions and feedback we receive about enhancing current features and incorporating new ones you'd like to see in the future. In this update, your input has inspired the following enhancements:

  • Copy Time from the Day View
To streamline the process of managing timr, we've introduced the copy functionality right into the daily view. This enhancement is just the beginning. Soon, the ability to move times will also be available in this view. Until then, the movefeature will continue to be accessible as usual in the weekly view.
  • Saving Your Driving Log with the Enter Key
To create a more intuitive workflow, you can now save any driving log you enter or adjust by simply pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. The option to save by clicking the 'Save' button in the interface remains available as well.
  • View All Costs in the Project Report
To simplify your project tracking , we've now made it possible for you to see the costs associated with every item and supplier invoice directly on the project report.
  • Excel Tracking Enhancement
We've refined the Excel export functionality so that time entries are now displayed in hours and hundredths, ensuring more accurate and convenient summations for your analysis.

To certify time has never been easier

The journey towards phasing out outdated technology to make way for modern solutions continues. This time, it's the approval module's turn to receive a significant upgrade. Enhanced user-friendliness, innovative features, and a visually more appealing interface will make the approval process much smoother for you. Among the new features, you will find:

  • The ability to lock/approve individual expenses separately from time posts
  • Clear markers for locked/approved statuses, including partial locks/partial approvals
  • Enhanced filtering capabilities
  • Simplified selection process for reports
  • The option to leave a comment on a specific month or individual
    • Comments are internal and visible only to those with permissions for Approval or Payroll Management.

When can I expect to gain access to this new module?

The first users will gain access to this new view in conjunction with the release of our latest version this April. We will then gradually transition the remaining customers throughout the spring. Please note that this means the view could become available to you between upgrades.

approval

Improvements for  reports

To enhance system performance, we've introduced limitations on the size of reports that can be generated. This measure is designed to prevent the creation of excessively large reports, which can significantly slow down loading times and potentially affect the system's performance for other users. Should your report exceed the new established maximum page count, an error message will appear. You are then encouraged to narrow down your selection before attempting to generate the report again. For those using the report view to compile data over extended periods or for large-scale projects, we suggest trying out the Follow-up view. Please note, if your organization requires reports larger than the specified limit, we urge you to contact our support team.

In line with the introduction of the new approval view, we've also taken the opportunity to update terminology to ensure consistency across the system. For those reporting time in the report view, this means that the "Work" option is now labeled as "Project," enhancing clarity and uniformity throughout.

New hub for guides and instructional videos

Accessing help resources such as manuals and videos regarding the system just got easier. On our new platform, guides are now more intuitively organized and grouped together with our videos. Moreover, you can swiftly navigate through all the available information with our enhanced search functionality, ensuring you find exactly what you're looking for in no time.

In the new version we have updated the links to the existing guides within the system to direct users to the new platform. Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of adding more shortcuts in parts of the system that previously did not link to these guides. While the older manuals will remain accessible for a period, updates and new information will exclusively be added to the guides on the new platform.
